Empowerment Childcare offers short-term free childcare solutions to help families thrive.
The YWCA provides up to 12 hours of free childcare per week for parents who are in transition, continuing their education, accessing social services or looking for employment. We work closely with the Family Justice Center, Buncombe County Department of Health and Human Services, A-B Tech, Green Opportunities, and Mary Benson House.
Empowerment Childcare Center Hours:
- Monday – Thursday: 8:00 am – 6:30 pm; Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (AB Tech Students)
- Monday – Friday: 8:00 am-noon; 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Space is limited and an orientation is required to use this service. Maximum of 4 hours of childcare per day. For more information regarding Empowerment Childcare please book a phone or in-person appointment today.
A-B Tech Community College and the YWCA are working together to provide childcare for current A-B Tech curriculum and continuing education students. A-B Tech students receive 12 hours of free childcare per week. Additional hours are available at a reduced rate. Reservations are required. Learn More about A-B Tech Childcare.
Are you a busy parent in need of convenient hourly childcare? The trained staff in our Empowerment Childcare Center also offers affordable, quality childcare for families who do not qualify for free care. Up to 4 hours per visit. Reservations are required.
