Until Justice Just Is 2026
Democracy in Progress: Voting Rights at 250
In 2026, the YWCA of Asheville joins YWCA USA in our national racial justice campaign, Until Justice Just Is (UJJI).
This year’s theme, Democracy in Progress: Voting Rights at 250, centers on one of the most urgent and foundational issues in our democracy: the right to vote.
As our nation marks 250 years of the American democratic experiment, we are invited to reflect honestly on its history. We honor the progress made, acknowledge the inequities that persist, and recommit ourselves to building a future where every person’s vote is protected, valued, and accessible.
The 2026 UJJI Challenge
April 6 – May 4, 2026
From April 6 through May 4, YWCA associations across the country will participate in the 2026 Until Justice Just Is (UJJI) Challenge, a national learning experience focused on voting rights.
More details about this year’s challenge, including how our local community can participate, will be shared soon.
We look forward to engaging together in reflection, learning, and action as we continue our work to eliminate racism and empower women.
