Beyond Walls Community Film Screening
Flyer for “Beyond Walls” free community screening
On July 10, from 6 to 8 pm, the YWCA and New Belgium brewing are co-hosting a free screening and discussion of the film Beyond Walls, a series of five short documentary films about prison industrial complex abolition. These films include an examination of ideas about policing, the possibility of more creative and safer responses to mental health crises, to a portrait of a rural Appalachian radio station that provides a lifeline to incarcerated people who are far from home, and far from their support systems.
Beyond Walls was curated by the Center for Political Education, Critical Resistance, MPD150, and Survived + Punished in partnership with Working Films.
This screening is free, but please RSVP here!
