COVID-19 Updates and Information

Fitness facility hours: 6:30 am – 10:15 am; 1:15 pm – 5:15 pm M-F, 7:30 am – 3:30 pm Sat. and closed on Sun.

Pool hours: 6 am – 6 pm M-F, 7 am – 4 pm Sat. and closed on Sun.

In accordance with NC Governor’s Phase 3 ordinance, we will be operating in a limited capacity and will be implementing additional safety guidelines, detailed below.

A Reservation is Required Before Arrival*

To ensure the safety of our YWCA members, staff, and community we will be implementing the Reservation Required model that is currently used by the Aquatic Team. Time slots will be available 24 hours in advance and will close 2 hours before the activity begins. Reservations can be made through the free Daxko mobile app, our website, or by calling our front desk and speaking with an associate at (828) 254-7206.

*At this time, we are unable to accept reservation requests left via voicemail or emails

Entering and Exiting the Building

Please arrive 5 minutes before your start time in order to have enough time to go through our entering procedure and for staff to safely transition you into the fitness center.

When you arrive, please wait outside at an orange cone near the entrance. A Guest Services Associate will meet you outside.

Prior to entering the building, you’ll be asked COVID-19 health screening questions and your temperature will be taken. At your first visit, you will be asked to read our new YWCA liability waiver. If you have any questions for Guest Services regarding your membership account, please call ahead.

Masks are required inside the building, even when exercising.  Mask must be worn at all other times. We recommend earloop masks, with at least two layers of fabric, and ask that you bring and wear your own mask.

Please maintain a 6-foot social distance when you are in the building – with the exception of single-home family units.

When the reserved time period is up we ask that you wipe down your fitness equipment with the provided cleaning materials and depart promptly to give our team time to prepare for the next group of members.

Showers and Locker Rooms

We recommend that you arrive in your workout clothes and ready to workout. At this time, showers are not available. You may use the locker rooms for a quick change after your workout. Dry masks must be worn at all times.


Only members will be allowed to use the fitness center during this time. Guests and drop-ins are not allowed.

We are temporarily not able to offer amenities such as group fitness classes, drop-in childcare, and coffee service.
