A-B Tech Child Care
A-B Tech and YWCA Childcare Partnership Program
A-B Tech Community College and the YWCA of Asheville are partnering to provide short-term childcare for current A-B Tech curriculum and continuing education students at the YWCA located at 185 South French Broad Avenue.
Students receive three four-hour shifts of free childcare in exchange for working one four-hour shift per week. Participants may bring their child with them when they work their shift and children receive snacks during each four-hour shift.
Student volunteers will go through an in-take meeting with YWCA Empowerment Child Care staff, will undergo background checks and will receive CPR and basic childcare training. Applications are now available at the college in the Bailey Student Services Center on A-B Tech's Asheville Campus or below. For more information or to schedule an in-take appointment please book a phone or in-person appointment today.
This partnership program is made possible in part by The Community Foundation of WNC.
