Back Care Yoga: Asheville Yoga, YWCA of Asheville, Yoga ClassesLearn how to care for and strengthen your back through a sequence of yoga postures specifically designed for back health.  Suitable for all levels of yoga practitioners. Those students recovering from injury or back surgery, please obtain your doctor's approval before beginning this class.

Core Yoga:
Core Yoga will take you through the basics of yoga poses and draw the focus and energy to the core allowing for strengthening of the abs along with a great flow yoga.

Flow Yoga: 
This yoga class is a vigorous traditional (hatha) yoga practice with purposeful postures(asana) in a flowing (vinyasa) form to build strength and flexibility. Breath and intention are key elements during the practice..

Gentle Yoga:
This yoga class focuses more on static stretching rather than flow and is ideal for those new to yoga.

Encourage the use of the mind to develop core postural muscle strength, stability and flexibility resulting in more efficient and graceful movement. Ultimate core training, increases balance, strengthens abdomen and back.

Restorative Yoga:
A form of yoga that seeks to achieve physical, mental and emotional relaxation with the aid of props. The use of props makes it easier for you to maintain balance while you are stimulating and relaxing your body. Relax and restore while you improve your strength, flexibility, and balance.

Stretch and Flex:
A 45-minute feel good class – Sitting, standing, and floor exercises designed to improve physical performance, enhance range of motion, and reduce strain and muscle fatigue. Very relaxing class..

Tai Chi Level I:
This is Beginning Level 1 with foundations of tai chi stance, walk, relaxation for health with the Tai Chi Easy form along with qigong warm-ups .   We will learn the  Eight Silk Brocades . progressing to Simplified 24 Yang form.

Tai Chi Level II:
Participate in Level I before attending Level II. A low impact exercise that improves balance, flexibility, and reduces stress.

Yoga I-II:
A blend of deep breathing practices to aid relaxation and stillness, and a spirit of playfulness to find your physical edge and cultivate a sense of self-awareness and acceptance of your body.
